WELCOME TO YANKADI SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ASSOCIATION OF VANCOUVER, BC.
Yankadi is a traditional African word that means “here is good, beautiful, and wonderful.”
At the Yankadi Social and Cultural Association, we celebrate the beauty of diversity, unity, and community
here in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Yankadi brings together Canadian immigrants from several African countries.
These countries are: Mali, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Gambia, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
Yankadi is a vibrant cultural community that honours African heritage while embracing life in Canada.
Through social events, cultural programs, and community initiatives, we strive to strengthen connections,
share traditions, and create a sense of belonging for all.
Together, we make “here” — our new home — truly good, beautiful, and wonderful.
