Collective Agreement (last edited Nov-8-2025)

a.       Registration is $240 for all new members. This amount includes the annual payment of that year and is open to all adult Muslims and their family in the lower Mainland of BC

 

b.       Contribution payment for the funeral project shall be paid in full in the first quarter (1st, January – 31st, March) of ever calendar year. During this three-month period, pay per installment is acceptable to accommodate everyone 

 

c.      All members of the funeral project shall each contribute the amount of $50.00 Canadian dollars as annual contribution each year towards the funeral project

 

d.       All Yankadi funeral members who default on their annual contribution payment deadline; their names will be communicated/forwarded to the Chairman for follow-up of payment. 

 

e.       When deadline for contributions is past, the Chairman, in a good faith will follow all necessary steps to facilitate the procedures aligned in Yankadi constitution

 

f.        In line with point D & E, this step shall be the final stage of decision by the Senior/elders committee of Yankadi: Your annual contribution payment validates your active status with the funeral project only for that calendar year. In other words, your membership remains active as per your annual contribution payment for each year

g.        

 

h.     Participants who membership is cancelled based on refusal to comply with payment regulation can return any time to the funeral project with their annual contribution payment.

 

i.         All participants including their registered family members remain covered under the funeral project in the period of a new calendar year when deadline has not come to past

 

j.         Young Adults: all Yankadi young adults (19-25yrs old) registered under their parents with Yankadi funeral project will continues to contribute the amount of $50.00 Canadian dollars as an annual contribution payment for each year. They’re exempt from paying the $240 within the age range.

 

k.       Young Adults: all Yankadi young adults, at the age of 26-year-old, will be removed under his/her parents’ registration form. He or she will be registered as independent adult and continues contributing his or her annual contribution payment. The funeral project will do the registration process.

 

l.         Parents (Mother and Father): To facilitate the smooth registration of parents, all Yankadi funeral members are fully responsible to inform the funeral committee four (4) months in advance about his or her parent(s) arrival in the lower mainland. The funeral project takes full responsibility of the registration

 

m.     Relatives / Visitors: To coordinate the smooth registration of member relatives, all Yankadi funeral members are fully responsible to inform the funeral committee four (4) months in advance about his or her relative’s arrival in the lower mainland either for short visit or coming to reside. The funeral project will provide coverage for 6 months. Should the visitors or relatives stay over 6 months then that family member will be introduced to the funeral project.

 

n.     All participating members are responsible informing the project Committee immediately with an update when there is a change in your family.

 

o.     All contributions towards the funeral project is consider a donation and non-refundable. The fund will be used for the intended purpose towards the funeral project. 

 

p.       The funeral project remains operating only in the lower Mainland and is unable to transfer any deceased neither in nor outside of the lower Mainland nor operating out of its limitation mentioned in this collective agreement.

 

q.       This collective agreement is subject to amendment from time to time depending on the cost of burial and the nature of the funeral project
